My husband and I drove separately to the Philadelphia airport in the pouring rain to pick up our guests from Peru.
As a child, I was fascinated by tadpoles. And I wasn’t alone. Freely roaming the neighborhood during summer months, we kids would gather in my neighbor’s frog enclosure to search for new life.
Meet Juanita and Francisco, waving from a hill above the only moon temple in Peru. Known as Killarumiyok, the moon dial served many generations with tracking the movement of the stars, seasons, and energies.
As I climbed the hills in the Sacred Valley, every step was a prayer of gratitude. Pausing often to catch my breath in the high altitude, I drank in the beauty of the mountains, valleys, small towns, and roaming llamas.
It was a beautiful May day at Bryn Mawr College. I was looking forward to partaking in the annual May Day celebration at this college so infused with Welsh traditions.
